Abstarct: Today, oil companies must minimize the cost per barrel of oil produced. In view of this, the concept of well optimization and monitoring can be considered a vital issue for oil companies. Artificial lift methods are being developed and expanded rapidly in the world, and the most important of these methods is the use of electric submersible pumps. It can be said that ESP pumps, as a centrifugal pump, are one of the most suitable pumps for pumping incompressible fluids such as water and oil. These pumps can be used with variable speed controllers for low-intensity flows. These pumps are used for production at high-intensity flow rates. The use of artificial lift methods is very important for the long-term profitability of the oil field in question. In addition, due to the design of the optimal pump operating point in the optimal performance mode, the pump operating life can also be increased, which will result in significant savings in capital costs in the long-term use of this artificial lift method. In fact, the purpose of this research is to investigate the optimization of the design of ESP downhole pumps in order to improve production efficiency. In order to simulate the state of the producing well and perform analysis on it, the prosper software version 5.11 was used, and after simulating the producing well, the changes in the well status with respect to the variables were examined in the software. The results showed that the performance of the ESP pump is the result of a complex interaction between reservoir conditions (pressure, temperature, GOR), equipment design (pump model, installation depth, number of stages) and operating parameters (flow rate, surface pressure, VSD). Correct and simultaneous management of these factors, through precise engineering design, comprehensive simulations and intelligent operation monitoring, can lead to increased pump life, reduced energy costs and production stability in oil fields.
