Abstract
Various countries have turned to the use of renewable energy sources to reduce environmental pollution and dependency on fossil fuels. Therefore, in this study, a green multiple energy generation system baxsed on a compound parabolic concentrator (CPC) solar collector (composed of Kalina cycle (KC) subsystems, proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzers, and reverse osmosis (RO) desalination) has been designed and modeled. The energy system presented in this research is capable of simultaneously generating electrical power, fresh water, oxygen, and hydrogen. The developed energy system in this study is capable of producing 99.4 kilograms per second of fresh water, 0.186 kilograms per hour of hydrogen, 26 kilowatts of heat, and 8250 kilowatts of power, which is used to meet the power requirements of electrolyzer cycles and desalination. Furthermore, the overall energy efficiency and exergy efficiency of the system are 71.37% and 70.34% respectively.
