Abstarct: Abstract This research was conducted in order to estimate the potential yield, actual yield and yield gap of rapeseed, determine the share of limiting factors of rapeseed and also find suitable solutions to provide to the farmers of Gonbadkavos city to increase the yield of rapeseed. In order to collect the necessary information to quantify crop production and predict the yield gap of canola, it is necessary to conduct field work and personal interviews (face to face) with farmers. For this purpose, the number of 30 canola farms located in the geographical area under study was investigated. baxsed on the obtained results, the average and maximum yields of rapeseed in the studied fields in Gonbadkavos region were 2451.6 and 3300 kg/hectare, respectively. On the other hand, the yield model used has estimated the maximum yield that can be achieved under the climatic conditions of the region at 4681.43 kg/hectare. By comparing the actual yield and the potential yield, it was found that the total yield gap is 2495.6 kg/ha. In other words, the current yield of farmers is 2495.6 kg per hectare less than what can be achieved with optimal management and implementation of research recommendations. The relative yield rate and yield gap percentage were estimated at 49.17 and 53/31 percent, respectively. Therefore, by improving agricultural management, removing obstacles and technical problems of farms and properly implementing agricultural operations, it can be expected that the yield of rapeseed in the rapeseed fields of Gonbadkavos region will increase to about 2495.6 kg per hectare.
