Abstarct: In this study, novel 1,2,3‑triazole derivatives baxsed on ethyl‑2‑cyano‑3‑phenyl acrylate were synthesized through condensation reactions and click chemistry. First, condensation of ethyl cyanoacetate with aldehydes bearing a propargyloxy substituent under basic conditions afforded new ethyl‑2‑cyano‑3‑(propargyloxyphenyl)acrylate derivatives. Subsequently, click reactions of these derivatives with aromatic azides in the presence of sodium ascorbate and copper(Ⅱ) acetate yielded new 1,2,3‑triazole compounds baxsed on ethyl‑2‑cyano‑3‑phenyl acrylate. Furthermore, a multicomponent reaction of ethyl cyanoacetate, propargyloxy‑substituted aldehydes, and aromatic azides under click‑reaction conditions provided the desired products with high yield. In addition, 1,2,3‑triazoles lixnked to the pyrazolone ring were synthesized via the reaction of the ethyl‑cyano‑phenyl acrylate moiety of the 1,2,3‑triazoles with hydrazine hydrate. The structures of all newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by ¹H‑NMR, ¹³C‑NMR, and IR analyses.
