QD463 : Synthesis of pyrano¬pyrimidines using multi¬¬component reactions in deep eutectic solvents

Abstarct: In this study, pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidines were synthesized from the three-component reaction of aromatic aldehydes, 1,3-dimethylbarbituric acid, and malononitrile in the presence of a deep eutectic solvent zinc chloride/urea (with a molar ratio of 1/3.5) as an efficient and environmentally friendly catalyst under ethanol solvent conditions. Then, the click reaction of pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidines bearing a propargyloxy group with aromatic azides was carried out, which led to the production of new derivatives of 1,2,3-triazoles attached to the pyrimidine ring. The structures of these compounds were confirmed by H-NMR, C-NMR and FT-IR analyses.
