Abstarct: Organic semiconductors have attracted considerable attention for applications in devices such as organic light-emitting diodes, organic solar cells, and organic field-effect transistors due to their low weight, mechanical flexibility, and solution processability. However, the inherent structural and energetic disorder in these materials makes charge transport predominantly hopping-like, rendering classical band-transport models insufficient for accurately describing their electrical behavior. This thesis examines the role of percolation theory as a powerful statistical–physical frxamework for analyzing hopping transport in disordered organic semiconductors. By revisiting and interpreting results reported in prior studies, it is shown that electrical conduction in these systems is governed by preferential transport pathways and finite conducting clusters, and that many observed features of charge mobility—its dependence on temperature, electric field, and carrier density—as well as recombination behavior, have a percolative origin. The findings indicate that percolation theory provides a strong conceptual and analytical tool for understanding the physics of charge transport in disordered organic materials and can serve as an effective basis for improving the modeling and design of organic electronic devices.
