Abstarct: tive study investigated how multimedia-baxsed education constitutes English language learning experiences through undergraduate students at the University of Baghdad. In spite of global advances in technology-enhanced language education, classrooms at Iraqi universities still depend heavily on traditional textbook-focused methods, leaving students disconnected and limiting their development of practical communicative competence. This current study carried out this gap by investigating students' livedd experiences with multimedia tools, barriers encountered by teachers, and practical strategies required for meaningful integration. The research used a qualitative descxriptive design within an explanatory model, and was baxsed on semi-structured interviews with ten university students from different faculties at the University of Baghdad. The data were analyzed by using six-stages thematic analysis. The results discovered five cross-cutting themes. Firstly, multimedia meaningfully enhanced student engagement, motivation and cognitive retention through simultaneous visual and auditory processing. Secondly, enhance measurable advances in listening, speaking and vocabulary acquisition, particularly when incorporated in interactive tasks. Thirdly, systemic infrastructure barriers used unreliable internet, hardware shortages, and interdepartmental disparities have generated a structural digital distribute that has undermined implementation. Fourthly, instructors lacked the technical skills and pedagogical training needed to strategically integrate multimedia, while generational resistance further sophisticated adoption. Fifthly, multimedia operated as a transformative force, shifting classrooms toward student-centered, collaborative and authentic learning environments; notably, each participant preferred a blended learning model that conserves structured grammar education along with multimedia enrichment. The study summrized that multimedia presents a broad promise for reforming English language education
