Abstarct: In this research, the production function was tested with regard to the pollution caused by the dust as an exogenous factor. therefore, the western and southwestern provinces of Iran (Ilam, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kurdistan, Lorestan, Central and Hamedan) were investigated for the period of 2008-2013 with the combined data approach (panel data). The results show that there is a negative relationship between the pollution of the dust and the growth of production. Also, the main factors of the production function, capital and manpower, are influenced by the presence of the dust.The best way to deal with the phenomenon of the dust is to firstly implement the domestic and international measures necessary to prevent the formation of the dust in the region and entry into Iran, and second, prioritize the provinces to allocate resources in the presence of the dust.
