Abstarct: The present study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis of tourism destination image in sports. This descxriptive-analytical research with a quantitative approach extracted data from the Scopus databaxse. Using a combined search strategy of keywords including "destination image," "tourism," and "sport," a total of 189 articles met the inclusion criteria. Data analysis was performed using VOSviewer software, employing co-authorship, co-occurrence, citation analysis, and bibliographic coupling methods. Descxriptive findings indicated that the majority of articles (97.4%) were original research, with "Business and Management" and "Social Sciences" having the largest share. The publication trend has shown significant growth since 2014, peaking in 2022. Analytical findings revealed that the scientific collaboration network in this field is integrated and centered around the United States. The thematic structure comprises four main clusters centered on destination image, tourism destination, satisfaction and service quality, and destination loyalty. The study by Lee et al. (2005) with 471 citations was identified as the most cited article, while the work by Kaplanidou and Vogt (2007) with a total lixnk strength of 53 was recognized as the most fundamental paper in the field. The "Journal of Sport and Tourism" with 22 articles and 1,322 citations was the leading journal in this area. Overall, this research, by drawing a comprehensive scientific map of the field of tourism destination image in sports, has filled the existing research gap regarding the lack of a quantitative and systematic analysis of the intellectual structure, collaboration networks, and thematic trends in this field. The findings can serve as a roadmap for researchers, sport tourism destination managers, and policymakers in this area.
