GV417 : Effects of Social Undermining on Organizational Indifference and Job Burnout of Sport and Youth Department Employees

Abstarct: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of social undermining on organizational indifference and job burnout among the employees of the Sport and Youth Departments of Iraq. The research method was descxriptive-correlational in terms of nature and cross-sectional in terms of time. The statistical population consisted of all employees of the Iraq Sport and Youth Department, from which 171 individuals were selected using convenience sampling. The data collection instruments were three standard questionnaires on social undermining, organizational indifference, and job burnout. The content validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by a panel of sports management experts, and their reliability was assessed and verified using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Data analysis was performed using SPSS and smart pls software. The results of the structural model analysis indicated that social undermining has a positive and significant effect on organizational indifference. Furthermore, the findings revealed that social undermining has a positive and significant impact on job burnout among the employees of the Iraq Sport and Youth Departments. These results highlight the importance of managing and mitigating social undermining in the workplace, suggesting that improving the quality of interpersonal relationships can play a pivotal role in reducing organizational indifference and preventing job burnout among employees.
