Abstarct: The purpose of this research was to investigate the impact of perceived social responsibility on the loyalty of football fans, with the mediating role of team identity. The present research method was descxriptive-correlational in nature and cross-sectional in time. The statistical population of the study consisted of all fans of the Iraqi Stars Football League, from which 319 individuals were selected as a sample using the convenience sampling method. The research tools were three standard questionnaires: a 5-item Perceived Social Responsibility questionnaire by Chang et al. (2019), a 6-item Fan Loyalty questionnaire by Wang et al. (2011), and a 4-item Team Identity questionnaire by Van et al. (2007). To check the face and content validity of the research instruments, the opinions of ten experts and professors of sports management were used, and the reliability of the instruments was confirmed using Cronbach's alpha test. To examine the research hypotheses, variance-baxsed structural equation modeling was used. SPSS23 and Smart-PLS 4 software were used for data analysis. The results showed that perceived social responsibility has a direct and significant effect on fan loyalty and team identity. Also, the findings indicated that team identity has a direct and significant effect on fan loyalty. The mediating role of team identity in the relationship between perceived social responsibility and fan loyalty was also confirmed. The findings demonstrated that perceived social responsibility has a significant positive effect on football fans' loyalty, both directly and indirectly by strengthening team identity. In other words, the socially responsible actions of clubs strengthen fans' team identity by creating a sense of pride and belonging, ultimately leading to more sustainable loyalty. These results emphasize the necessity for managers of Iraqi Stars League clubs to focus on effective planning and communication in the field of social responsibility as a key strategy for attracting and maintaining fan loyalty.
