Abstarct: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of organizational climate on the performance of physical education teachers, considering the mediating role of job satisfaction. In terms of methodology, the study was descxriptive–survey in nature and was conducted as a field study with a cross-sectional design. The statistical population consisted of all physical education teachers working in schools in Al-Anbar Province, Iraq. The sample size was determined baxsed on two to ten times the number of questionnaire items, and to enhance accuracy and compensate for non-response, the questionnaires were distributed both in person and online. Ultimately, 152 questionnaires were collected over a one-month period and used in the final analysis. Convenience sampling was employed. Data were collected using the Organizational Climate Questionnaire developed by Jaw and Liu (2003), the Job Performance Questionnaire by Buil et al. (2019), and the Job Satisfaction Questionnaire by Hon and Grunig (1999). The validity of the instruments was confirmed through face, content, convergent, and discriminant validity, while reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha and composite reliability coefficients. Data analysis was performed using structural equation modeling with the partial least squares (PLS) approach, utilizing SPSS and Smart-PLS software. The findings indicated that organizational climate has a positive and significant effect on both job satisfaction and job performance of teachers. Moreover, job satisfaction was found to play a positive and significant mediating role in the relationship between organizational climate and job performance. Overall, the results suggest that strengthening a supportive and innovative organizational climate enhances teachers’ sense of security, job satisfaction, and performance. When organizations encourage creativity and foster effective two-way interactions, teachers’ motivation and commitment increase. Therefore, school administrators can improve the motivation and productivity of physical education teachers by enhancing key components of the organizational climate.
